Troy Delone

Troy Delone

Troy came home after 16 years in Angola State Penitentiary in December of 2016, and began his transition back into society at The First 72+ transitional house. While at Angola, Troy had the opportunity to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Christian Ministry, and he's currently working on receiving a Master's degree in Social Work at Southern University at New Orleans.

Starting to work as a Re-Entry Case Manager at The First 72+ was like a full circle moment, because when he was incarcerated at Angola he was a Re-Entry Case Manager for the same program-- he was actually one of the first mentors for the program inside of prison. He feels very honored and humbled to continue that work outside of the prison gates.
