Tali is excited to be one of the new Avodah Corps members serving at the First 72+. She recently graduated from Whitman College where she studied Environmental Studies and Anthropology. She is passionate about climate justice and has extensive experience as an outdoor youth educator, most recently working with the Farm-to-School program at the Walla Walla Juvenile Detention Facility. She believes deeply in the power of community-based activism and is thrilled to be working with such an inspiring group of people!
As our new Program's Administrator, Tali will work at the Public Benefits Clinic to help clients apply for SNAP (food stamps), Medicaid, and Social Security cards. She is also working with the Department of Economic Empowerment to build out a program that connects clients with education and employment opportunities.
She is looking forward to exploring the city by bike and taking advantage of the live music and dance scene New Orleans has to offer.
