Steve Yost

Steve was born and raised in the Iberville projects in New Orleans and graduated from Joseph S. Clark High School. After experiencing the street life and returning back to society in 1997, Steve went to electrical school for 6 years through Local 130. Steve then worked at CeaseFire New Orleans, a gun-violence prevention organization, for over 10 years. For the past 8 years, he volunteered part-time for The First 72+ before transitioning to be our full-time Building Manager. Steve says that the best part about working at The First 72+ has been helping others and seeing a difference.
