Abby Lapporte

Abby is delighted to be joining the First 72+ as an Avodah Corps Member. A recent graduate of Saint Mary’s College of California, Abby studied clinical/counseling psychology with a passion for political science and transformative justice. She is drawn to the organization’s emphasis on person-centered work, centering community needs with the voices of formerly incarcerated individuals themselves. As Operations Coordinator, Abby’s role combines office administration, communications, development, and public benefits. Abby is looking forward to learning from the team and clients this year. 

Outside of work, Abby can be found knitting, reading, and exploring New Orleans!
